Titanic exhibition - We were super proud of all our writing about Titanic and so was our Teacher!
Science - We have been learning about shadows and how they are formed and had fun making our own shadows using torches and our hands
Computing - We used Beebots to learn about programming and debugging programmes
To launch our topic about pirates we had a pirate day where we learnt that life as a pirate was not always easy!
In Art we learnt sketching techniques and practiced them by copying the style of some famous illustrators. We then sketched dragons from our imaginations!
In History and to hook our children into poetry writing we recreated our own Great Fire of London
In Geography we have been learning how to use a compass so we went outside to find the direction of the trim trail, Velmead School and Forest School.
In History we have been investigating and learning about the Great Fire of London by looking closely at paintings, sketches and extracts from the diaries of Samuel Pepys and John Evelyn.
To launch our history topic about the Great Fire of London we had a visit from a theatre company and took part in a drama workshop
