Thank you for visiting our website.  If you are interested in your child attending our school we hope the information contained in our prospectus will give you a flavour of what Fleet Infant School can offer (under 'About Us' tab on home page).


A child's first year in school is very important and we offer a caring, stimulating environment which is specifically designed to meet the needs of four and five year olds.  To ensure a smooth transition between home and school there are many opportunities for parents and children to visit the school to take part in a variety of activities prior to full time attendance.

Year R September 2020 Intake

Primary Main Round (Year R and Year 3 applications)

Parents who have applied for a Year R or Year 3 place for the September 2020 Intake will still receive the outcome of their application on the national notification date of 16th April 2020 (during the Easter break).


This year, applicants will be asked to confirm their acceptance as follows:

  • Log into the Education Portal (the same way you originally applied)
  • Either Accept or Reject the offered school place before midnight on 1st May 2020 (this is a one-time only process and the facility will not be accessible from 2nd May 2020)
  • Paper applicants will be required to return the reply slip in their letter, or email their response by 1st May 2020 as instructed in their letter


As schools will continue to be closed after the Easter break to the majority of families (and to reduce unnecessary contact for families and school staff alike), parents of new Year R children are being asked to wait for the school to contact them. Please do  not attempt to visit Fleet Infant School without being invited to do so. It is important that everyone complies with the social distancing requirements to reduce the spread of Coronavirus. At a later date, parents will need to provide evidence of the address on their application and their child's date of birth before their child starts school but please wait for the school to communicate with you about this part of the process - thank you.


Our usual activities that follow the offering of places in the main round will, undoubtedly be disrupted this year. Preparations would normally include an Information Evening for New Parents and class visits for the children which we are unable to plan for whilst current government restrictions are in place. The school will be in touch with parents as soon as it is possible to do so.



Tours of the School for In-Year Admissions

Whilst the school remains closed, we are currently unable to arrange any tours.


Viewings will be resumed as soon as government restrictions allow.
