Autumn A
Today we were visited by the Rainbow Theatre Company. They introduced us to the story of the Great Fire of London and we have learnt lots about what happened in 1666.
Our Class Flag
We created our very own class flag, inspired by our school values. Together, we shared ideas and designed a flag that represents who we are as a class. We are proud to be Woodpeckers, and we are determined to work together, support one another and be the very best team we can be!
As part of our maths learning, we played Snakes and Ladders to practise counting forwards from a given number. We had lots of fun while developing our counting skills!
Children used concrete resources to represent the number they chose from the number cards, enriching their understanding of place value and their knowledge of tens and ones.
Woodpeckers have had a wonderful start!
They have settled in beautifully and have already shown great enthusiasm, kindness and eagerness to learn. We are so proud of how well they have adapted to their new routines and are looking forward to a fantastic year ahead!
